Under the stewardship of Redux Saints aka Jason Trevor Miller, Deep Tech Los Angeles has just entered Beatport’s top 100 list of the best tech house labels around. His work rate knows no bounds with an impressive nine consecutive Beatport top 100 chart hits, and high-quality support from a wide range of global tastemakers including Gorgon City, David Guetta, Joseph Capriati, Roger Sanchez and more. In addition to DTLA, those productions have come on LOW CEILING, CR2, Stealth and Toolroom Records.

Miller opens the five-track ‘Deep Tech Lockdown Sessions Vol.2’ compilation by remixing his own melodic techno alias, Placebo eFx. Since 2018, he has used the moniker to explore more subtle and progressive sounds steeped in rich chords and popular with the likes of Kryder and Jospeh Capriati. ‘Give Me A Reason’ (Redux Saints Remix) is a brilliantly sweaty track with chunky drums and crisp percussion all driving things forward beneath a nice, freaky synth hook that will send dancers wild.

Next up, London-born, US-based CHESSER continues to make moves after tunes on Toolroom Trax and on DTLA where he dropped the incendiary ‘Let It Move Ya’ on Lockdown Sessions Vol. 1. This time he links with Mr. Oz aka Ozdemir Isleyici, a young and ambitious tech house producer from Amsterdam. The wide range of beats coming out of Mr.Oz’s studio have seen him go to work with Danny Rhys, Marck Jamz, LWT, DJ Gomi  and many more. The pair’s ‘Outta Here‘ is a steamy cut with bristling percussive energy and white noise blasts that lift feet off the floor, while trippy, sci-fi effects and a soulful vocal add colour and character.

San Diego-based, Irish-born label associate, Notorious Lynch has an eclectic sound informed by his worldly travels and releases on the likes of Rhythm Culture Records, Beachside Records and of course, DTLA. Here he offers the excellent ‘Groover’, a slinky six-minute house track with heart swelling vocal stabs and rolling house beats that are filled with joyful piano chords that cannot fail to get the emotions flowing.

The first of two fantastic debutants is ACAY, a tech and progressive specialist who is no stranger to creating floor filling sets at top venues like Ministry Of Sound, Eden and Amnesia. With tracks on labels including Toolroom, Lost, and Universal, his music has been supported by some great names in the industry ranging from Roger Sanchez to Josh Butler, Annie Mac to Richy Ahmed. His own imprint ‘Made Crazy Music’ has achieved multiple Beatport top 100s in a short space of time. His offering on this compilation is the rapturous house cut ‘Give Your Heart‘ complete with impassioned vocals and dance floor tension that draws the listener in from start to finish.

Toriah is the second of the superb debutants and is a young artist whose star has shot up in the last few years. She’s performed at the critically acclaimed Cafe Mambo and at Amnesia Ibiza’s Tuesday Night parties, Together, as well as gaining recognition from Toolroom Records with the release of ‘The Horns’ in March 2020. And that’s not to mention a huge amount of support from BBC Introducing and BBC Radio 1. Her arresting ‘Don’t Be Scared‘ is a thundering cut with powerful drum programming and a mysterious late-night energy to get lost in, then raise hands when the huge synths erupt.
